Foundation for Success
Did you know that the Bible contains everything we need to know to live a successful life? It is the foundation for success!
Proverbs is a book in the Bible that gives us so many principles that will lead to a happy and successful life. I encourage you to read the Proverbs, but below are just a few of its nuggets of wisdom!
Three Wise Choices You Can Make to Reach Your Goals
1. Choose to be diligent:
Proverb 6:6
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in the summer and gathers its food at harvest.
Proverb 13:4
The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied.
2. Choose to listen to instruction:
Proverb 13:18
He who ignores discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored.
3. Choose sharp friends:
Proverb 27:17
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another
Proverb 13:20
He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.
God Loves YOU!
Do you know that God loves you? He so loved the world (you and me) that He gave His only Son so that whosoever believes in Him will have eternal life!
If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, I encourage you to do it today. Why do you need a Savior? Because even though God loves you and me, He hates sin which is anything we think, say or do that displeases God.
Romans 3:23 tells us that everyone has sinned. Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages (payment) for sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life.
God made a way for our sin to be paid for. Since the payment is death, God’s Son had to die on a cross, and shed His innocent blood to pay for our sin. Hebrews 9:22 says “And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission (payment for sin).”
Therefore, Jesus paid the price!
If you will
A. Admit you are a sinner
B. Believe Jesus the Christ died on the cross for your sins and rose again from the dead
C. Choose to repent (turn away from sin) and follow Christ
You shall be saved!
